Dr. Alan Teh graduated in 1983 from the University of Malaya. Thereafter, he worked as Lecturer and Associate Professor in the Division of Haematology, Department of Medicine, UMMC 1988-1999. He is trained in Australia in Haematology and bone marrow transplantation at the St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia and started the first adult bone marrow transplant programme at UMMC in 1993.
His current clinical interests include management of acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma, CML, and allogeneic and autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Dr Verna obtained her medical degree from UKM in 1995. After finishing medical service at the Ministry of Health, she completed her master’s degree in family medicine in UKM in 2002. Dr Toh is a Paediatrician and the Head of the Clinical Research Centre in Sibu Hospital. He is also the Professor for SEGi University and Sunway University, Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Clinical Advisor, and Vice President for National Early Childhood Intervention Council. He works in developmental-behavioural paediatrics and community child health and study one-health infectious diseases and vaccines.
