Q: How much weight can I expect to lose on the FIT-10 program?

A: We cannot guarantee any weight loss because weight loss varies depending on factors like initial weight, individual metabolism, medications, and adherence to a healthy diet and exercise.

On average and ideally, you may lose 0.5-1.0 kg per week, if you reduce calorie intake and increase exercise.

Q: How much time do I need to commit to the program?

A: You should expect to spend at least 3-4 hours a week exercising, engaging with your Nutritionist and using our digital tools, as part of the FIT-10 program.

To compare, the Ministry of Health (MOH) recommends that you spend at least 2.5 hours a week on moderate-intensity exercise.2

Q: Is there a weight requirement to sign up?

A: There is no weight requirement to sign up for FIT-10, but we recommend a consultation with your doctor to determine your weight loss goals.

Q: Do I receive anything if I achieve my weight loss goal?

A: You will receive a RM50 reward at the end of the FIT-10 program, if you achieve your weight loss goal as agreed with your doctor at the beginning of the FIT-10 program. This RM50 reward is delivered via Touch n’ Go.

Q: What do I need to prepare before each session?

A: Dedicated Space: A comfortable and private space for you to communicate without distractions with your Nutritionist, Physical Trainer, or Counselor.

Tech Essentials: Prepare a laptop or device with a stable internet connection for seamless virtual sessions.

Exercise Equipment: For exercise, prepare a yoga mat, a set of light dumbbells (or 1.5l water bottles), an elastic band, and a chair (without an armrest).

Q: What can I expect from my nutritionist?

A: Your Nutritionist will provide personalized dietary advice based on the Malaysian Recommended Nutrient Intake Guideline,4 and the nutrition guideline for the management of obesity and overweight.3

Your Nutritionist will also support you to appropriately manage the side effects associated with weight loss medications.

Q: Can I ask the nutritionist questions outside of scheduled consultations?

A: Yes, you will be able to communicate with your Nutritionist via WhatsApp from 9am – 9pm, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Your Nutritionist will advise you on their availability during the initial consultation.

Q: What is an approved weight loss medication?

A: Approved weight loss medications are approved by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) Malaysia for weight management purposes. The list is available here.

Angsana strictly does not support the use of non-approved medications or supplements for weight loss.

Q: Can I participate in the FIT-10 program if I have medical conditions?

A: You may participate in the FIT-10 program only if recommended or approved by your doctor.

Please inform your Nutritionist of any health concerns, injuries, or medications to ensure personalized support.

Q: Are there any risks associated with the FIT-10 exercise program?

A: The exercise component of FIT-10 carries risks similar to any exercise program.

If you have any injuries, health conditions, or other physical limitations, please inform your doctor before starting the FIT-10 program.

Q: How do behavioral interventions in FIT-10 support my weight loss goals?

A: Our behavioral interventions help you develop good long-term habits through goal setting and self-monitoring on your weight loss goal.

You will be offered support and guidance through consultations, educational materials, and various digital resources.

Q: Can I add optional features to my FIT-10 program at any time?

A: Yes, you can add optional features such as 1:1 sessions with a physical trainer or counselor at any point during the FIT-10 program by informing your Nutritionist.
